A pretty quilt with lots of open space for creative quilting. This is for a local fabric store. Hopefully they will hang it and put my name on it as the quilter.
It was fun coming up with different treatments for the various squares. Make them each stand out, yet compliment each other.
I decided I needed to start timing myself so I would know how much time I'm spending on these quilts. This one took me almost exactly 20 hours.
I love pearls, but boy are they time consuming - so I only put some in the center.
Ohhh, I love what you did in the open spaces. Very elegant. Truly it would hard to choose a favorite quilt (that you've posted), but this one is at the top right now. :)
