A cute baby quilt made by Ashley for her sister-in-law who just had a little girl after 4 boys:)
An all-over panto with flowers, leaves and swirls - seemed to go well with the fabric.
A re-do. Ashley returned this bedspread to me to put more quilting on to it. I just added more in the white, red and yellow strips. I thought it needed more initially, but she needed to see it herself before deciding the same.
I recently attended HMQS which I was very excited to go since I've missed the past two years. I had a list of things I wanted to find while there...one of which was some kind of quilt hanging system that I could hang up the upcoming customer's quilt to be thinking of quilting ideas while working on the current one on my machine. There were a couple of different ones to choose from and this is the one I came home with. A metal plate that attaches to the wall with two super strong magnets. Then an inexpensive metal tension curtain rod that I just wrap the quilt top around and clamp with clothes pins and that rod sticks to those magnets great -- very strong attachment. Yippee.
I am one of those fortunate people who get to spend their days doing things I love, quilting & teaching piano. I also love to read, give me a good book and I'm in heaven! We have 4 wonderful grown children with the best daughter/son-in-laws! And currently 7 adorable grand kids and a good husband who supports me in what ever hair brain idea I come up with, which is kind of constant! Life is good.
